EATON, Ohio A Central California man and a Texas man were jailed after 220 pounds of marijuana valued at nearly $250,000 was found in their semitrailer, the State Highway Patrol said. A trooper stopped the semitrailer for speeding Monday night on Interstate 70 near this western Ohio city. The patrol said the trooper noticed the odor of raw marijuana. A drug-sniffing dog led to a the discovery of 19 bundles of marijuana in the sleeper of the semitrailer, the patrol said. The patrol said Guadalupe Lugo Gonzalez, 40, of Mendota, Calif., and Alfredo Lugo Gonzalez, 51, of Mission, Texas, were each charged with drug possession and were being held Tuesday in the Preble County Jail. Patrol Lt. John Born said the seizure was probably among the 20 largest by the patrol in Ohio since it began keeping records of seizure amounts in 1992. It just shows crime doesn't pay!
