The MJ Legalization Movement Loses Pat Robertson

USA -- Oh, well: televangelist Pat Robertson has apparently changed his mind on the subject of legal marijuana. Just two years after Robertson said that he thinks the U.S. should “treat marijuana the way we treat beverage alcohol,” he and his 700 Club network went hard against Colorado’s legalization of the drug this week. “The little kids are getting high,” Robertson said of the children of Colorado on his Wednesday show. He went on: “Do you want your little 8th grader to be stoned when he goes to school? Well, welcome to Colorado, where pot is legal.”
You can watch the clip, via Right Wing Watch (which regularly records Robertson’s daily program), below:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTEyn8X7ECc Robertson now claims that he never supported the legalization of marijuana, only its decriminalization. However, in his 2012 interview with the New York Times, Robertson said that he “absolutely” supported the two ballot measures – Colorado’s Amendment 64 and Washington Initiative 502 – that legalized the substances in those states. Robertson criticized the criminalization of marijuana as early as 2010, leading to mixed reactions among his viewers and Vice President Biden:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQi7A5MW2kQNow, the evangelical preacher believes that the Colorado law encourages “the full-scale spread of this stuff, and it is not good for people’s health, it is destroying their minds and it is destroying their lungs and the addiction is pretty heavy.”The 700 Club also published an article on Wednesday focusing on a group of Colorado residents who want to get a measure on the ballot to repeal the law. Robertson hasn’t completely abandoned H.M.S. Marijuana Reform, however. He reiterated his longstanding position on Wednesday that current law imposes penalties for possession that are too strict.“I have been one that has been very much against the incredible incarceration rate in the United States,” he said, adding, “What are we doing? We’re locking up people for the possession of marijuana. What I have wanted, and I think it’s the right cause, is the decriminalization of marijuana. But apparently the next step is the legalization of it, which is a totally different matter.”Abby Ohlheiser is a general assignment reporter for The Washington Post.Source: Washington Post (DC) Author: Abby OhlheiserPublished: August 13, 2014Copyright: 2014 Washington Post CompanyContact: letters washpost.com Website: http://www.washingtonpost.com/ URL: http://drugsense.org/url/gUx9FooNCannabisNews -- Cannabis Archiveshttp://cannabisnews.com/news/list/cannabis.shtml

Hey Colorado-How about a "Cannabis Games"?
“Do you want your little 8th grader to be stoned when he goes to school?Sorry Pat, but for this statement to be true, the kid must actually get high before he leaves home, which happens more often than most people are prepared to admit. The idea that Cannabis IMPAIRS under all circumstances needs to be examined and I mean closely. How about holding a Cannabis Games or Olympics or what have you to demonstrate the physical and mental abilities some people can display, just to challenge the medieval mindset that "if you are stoned - then you are worthless"THE SILENCED VOICES OF 2 AUG 1937 ARE GETTING LOUDER AND LOUDER - TURN IT UP!FREE THE PRISONER OF SCHEDULE ONE!

He doesn't understand.
If he really hears his God. If it is Jehovah. If it is That I Am. If it is the God of creation that walked the earth and died a terrible death, for all of mankind's sake, an innocent man executed. Christ Jesus. Jeshua. The Lamb of God. If he's truly listening to that quiet, gentle voice of the God who is Love, he will eventually stop "Leaning to his own understanding" or the "Understanding" of prohibitionists and demented authoritarians that have his ear, and instead do his part to magnify the Lord. He doubts the very first page of the Old Testament? That's not a great start. It's so simple, too. And it's not one of those passages that just applies to that time. Why complicate it? What about what the Lord himself was supposed to have said about "Uncleanness" being something that comes out of a person... it's not something that happens to you because you consumed something that someone else disapproves of. What about not being "Judged by another man's conscience"?Has he even asked God for understanding? I know who he claims as his God. Has he asked that great and all encompassing Spirit... that surely dwells in him as it does in me? Has he waited and listened for the answer that should be a quiet and sane voice he can hear from within?Tell me which is worse, consuming a plant, or slapping someone else up side the head for consuming a plant?

#4 Vincent .... Bible Thumpers
Vincent! I'm a Bible thumper too! However, I know the Truth, ..... that there are 250 shekels of Kaneh bosm, Cannabis in the Holy Oil required of one to becoming an Anointed One, a Christian! The title Christ/Messiah means literally, covered in Oil, Anointed!
Kaneh bosm was mistranslated as calamus or fragrant cane by the Greeks in the 3rd century BC.
http://web.acsalaska.net/~warmgun/sm410.htmlIn fact, the Biblical Canon from the Greek Kanon is derived from the Hebrew Kaneh/Hemp, meaning straight, to measure, rule. Hemp was used to make measuring cords back in the day!So, if it were a requirement to be Anointed with Oil containing Cannabis in the early church, what does that say about the modern churches?Cyril of Jerusalem: On Chrism“Having been counted worthy of this Holy Chrism, ye are called Christians, verifying the name also by your new birth. For before you were deemed worthy of this grace, ye had properly no right to this title, but were advancing on your way towards being Christians.” www.ccel.org/ccel/schaff/npnf207.ii.xxv.htmlGospel of PhilipThe chrism is superior to baptism, for it is from the word "Chrism" that we have been called "Christians," certainly not because of the word "baptism". And it is because of the chrism that "the Christ" has his name. For the Father anointed the Son, and the Son anointed the apostles, and the apostles anointed us. He who has been anointed possesses everything. He possesses the resurrection, the light, the cross, the Holy Spirit. The Father gave him this in the bridal chamber; he merely accepted (the gift). The Father was in the Son and the Son in the Father. This is the Kingdom of Heaven.http://www.gnosis.org/naghamm/gop.htmlSeems to me that the churches are and have been literally and Biblically "opposite of, opposed to or against being Anointed," ... antichrist!
That satan sure is sneaky!

Decriminalized, But Still Illegal?
“What are we doing? We’re locking up people for the possession of marijuana. What I have wanted, and I think it’s the right cause, is the decriminalization of marijuana. But apparently the next step is the legalization of it, which is a totally different matter.”(Said the priest to the pregnant teenager: "Honey, if you didn't want to go to Chicago, then WHY did you get on the train?")Somehow, the idea that something can be "decriminalized", yet still convieniently kept from society, passes for logic. And somehow, this passes for proof:". . . it is destroying their minds and it is destroying their lungs and the addiction is pretty heavy.”Free the Prisoner of Schedule One, NOW!

Michele Leonhart :0(
The DEA Have blocked or stymied every attempt at cannabis research for the last 40 years. How then does she go before congress and make any claims concerning cannabis at all? Doctors want to research cannabis because they do not know enough about it. Scientist want to research cannabis to learn more about it.Mickey Mouth sits there before god and everybody claiming that cannabis is as harmful as the worst of drugs. Where does she get her findings? Not in the way of anecdotal evidence or testimony. In fact they claim that anecdotal testimony is unreliable? Doesn't that pretty much make her our national authority on the subject? From what I have seen she is like Sgt. Klink, "I know nasink"! Nasink but the party line, that is!Do you all realize how much money this little kitten with a whip will walk away with for her retirement package? See, if our gov. was right with itself she would be tried for treason and war crimes. Make me judge for one day. I will bury this smirking, no nothing, trough sucking troll in an underground SHU where she will roll 1000 joints per day for cancer patients to earn her hempseed gruel dinner.Poetic justice is such a sweet thing, it just does not happen often enough!

Bible-Thumpers
I agree with MikeEEE...since Robertson received a lot of flak for his statement on Marijuana decrim, he must mend the bridges he has with his own IGNORANT kind. He is like any other politician in that he panders...in his case, and in the case of the entire Republican Party, to their "base" voters which are bible-thumpers.

What would the devil do?
One of the many things cannabis does is expose people. It shines light like a flashlight exposing darkness. In the brightness is where We are protected.Cannabis prohibition and extermination is the devil law.Stopping cannabis prohibition is stopping the devil.
