College Professor Agrees to Settle Lawsuit!

YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio An assistant professor at Antioch College has agreed to pay $25,000 to settle a civil lawsuit in which the government was seeking forfeiture of his house, where Marijuana was allegedly grown.
In the settlement announced Friday, Tom Ayrsman and his wife, Cheryl, denied violating any federal or state law.In exchange for $25,000, the government agreed to drop its claim on the house, valued at $205,000.Tom Ayrsman, 47, pleaded guilty in June to two misdemeanors -- permitting drug abuse and conspiracy to possess criminal tools. His son, Shane, 22, pleaded guilty to cultivating 23 marijuana plants, possession of criminal tools and conspiracy to cultivate marijuana.Prosecutors contended the son was running the marijuana growing operation and his father allowed him to do it at their home.In July, Tom and Shane Ayrsman were placed on probation in Greene County Common Pleas Court.Tom Ayrsman was fined $2,000. Shane Ayrsman was fined $5,000, ordered to perform 200 hours of community service and had his driver's license suspended for six months.
