cannabisnews.com: Pot Users Relying on Home Delivery

Pot Users Relying on Home Delivery

New York -- In a city where you can get just about anything delivered to your door — groceries, dry cleaning, Chinese food — pot smokers are increasingly ordering takeout marijuana from drug rings that operate with remarkable corporate-style attention to customer satisfaction. Among the legions of home delivery customers is Chris, a 37-year-old salesman in Manhattan. He dials a pager number and gets a return call from a cheery dispatcher who takes his order for potent strains of marijuana.
"These are very nice, discreet people," said Chris, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition only his first name be used. "There‘s an unspoken trust. It‘s better than going to some street corner and getting ripped off or killed." But experts say home delivery has been growing in popularity, thanks to a shrewder, corporate style of dealing designed to put customers at ease and avoid the messy turf wars associated with other drugs. The corporate model — and its profit potential — were demonstrated late last year when the Drug Enforcement Administration announced that it had taken down a highly sophisticated organization dubbed the Cartoon Network. DEA agents arrested 12 people after using wiretaps and surveillance and making undercover buys. The dealers, working out of a roving call center, processed 600 orders a day — from doctors, lawyers, Wall Street traders — even on Christmas, investigators said. Authorities refused to give names, but in one conversation overheard last October, a courier boasted about the ring‘s upscale clientele, according to court papers. One former customer named Lucia, a 30-year-old employee at an entertainment cable network, recalled blatant deals done at the company‘s Manhattan headquarters. Executives and employees alike would pool their orders as if they were buying lunch together, then await the arrival of a courier, Lucia said. "It was kind, kind bud," she said. "Yummy stuff." The operation‘s alleged mastermind, John Nebel, "should have been the CEO of a Fortune 500 company," said his attorney, Steve Zissou. At Lucia‘s workplace, employees were "bummed" by the news of Nebel‘s bust, Lucia said. But worries that the office might get raided evaporated, and other dealers stepped in, though "their product does not hold up to Cartoon," she said. Investigators seized customers‘ names and addresses from the drug operation‘s computer logs. But those people face little risk of prosecution, authorities said. Authorities conceded the home delivery trade will probably survive because of the high demand for marijuana and the low penalties for dealing it. Under state law, most marijuana offenses "are not treated as very significant crimes," said Bridget G. Brennen, the city‘s special narcotic prosecutor. "That is why you see the marijuana delivery services proliferating. Their exposure is slight." Yes, whig, she's anti-cannabis
I've always said that voting for me is picking the lesser of two evils. Claire McCaskill is the lesser of the two evils.Jim Talent was a bush clone, so not only was he for the war in Iraq and the war on cannabis, he was also willing to give our freedoms away unconditionally to appease his lord and master, gw bush.Baby steps, whig, we've got to take baby steps. :)The Reverend Bud Green

She was the prosecuting attorney for Jackson County, MO, the second largest county in the state, containing the second largest city, Kansas City, MO.She can probably ask some interesting questions when it comes to that investigation. The Reverend Bud Green

i HATE these close races
It's so nerve racking...Well the Dems have the house. They have 3 chances left to take the Senate, and they're leading by a nose hair in all of them.We didn't get everything I had hoped for... but I DO have a new Congressman!!! And I'm still hopeful for Nevada. I was bummed about Harold Ford, but he's young and people will remember him. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of him.I'll pray that we have those 3 more Democrats in the morning. Montana we won't know until tomorrow anyway, and they'll be fighting over Virginia 'til Christmas. Other than that, I'm calling it a night.

Which is a prayer that God won't answer because it would interfere with the free will of the manipulators.Joe Lieberman is your new Antichrist, I think. not so fast...
I know it's still early, and most states are only reporting 3% so far, but the Republicans are taking quite a wallop. NBC has already projected a bunch of Democrat victories. There were 6 really tight Senate races being talked about today, and 4 of them are already projected Democrat - OH, PA, MD, and RI. Rick Santorum is getting his butt kicked, and (surprise!) so is Lincoln Chaffee in RI.FoM, you'll love this... they've already declared Sherrod Brown AND Ted Strickland the winners up in your neck of the woods, so it looks like you're in the clear. AND, most of the governors races are going to the Dems. They had Dick Armey on NBC and he was as white as a ghost, he couldn't believe how bad the Republicans are getting spanked. I know it's really early guys, but it really is looking good so far. But it is really odd that they're having problems in Colorado of all places. Maybe all the Yes votes on 44 are crashing the computers!

Okay, here's the ELECTION RESULT.Joe Lieberman is now the most powerful man in the United States of America. There will be a 50/50 split in the Senate if Lieberman defects to the Republicans, which would make Dick Cheney the tie breaker as President of the Senate.Lieberman will caucus with the Democrats but ONLY on conditions that he sets, and they will ACCEPT his conditions in order to hold power as the majority party.

If you don't want to vote of course that is alright. I have said I didn't vote for most of my life. Now I do vote. We all must decide if voting is important or not and we all must decide on who we want to vote for by ourselves. Politics weren't talked about in my house. It was considered private and extremely personal.

Okay that's better
Now we can talk.I'm not a voter, and I've said so all along. You aren't happy about that, perhaps, but I've been honest with you and then we had this election and I wanted not to discourage people who had committed to vote against the Republicans from doing so.Now you have.Let's see how they get counted, let's see what happens in Colorado and Nevada. I'll be watching and writing about it.I did decide I would try to vote when Jack Herer asked me to do so. I did go to the City Hall and I did try to register. I was not allowed, and I was told that any provisional ballot I cast would not be counted. Had I been able to vote in the election, it would have ONLY been on an advisory ballot question. But I voted, and I did so here and on my blog and I did so elsewhere, I voted every day early and often. I cast my vote for my conscience, for Jack Herer, for humanity. I vote for them with everything I say, and all that I do. I vote for them with my will and I exercise my will as to make it be.My vote may be one vote but it may also be the deciding vote.Decisions that do not exist on the menu are NOT OFF LIMITS.You are not LIMITED to a set of unpalatable choices.Vote for what you WANT.Vote NOW. Vote EVERY DAY. Don't wait another year. You don't HAVE another year if you just wait until then.Of course I know that my friends here on Cannabis News do all of this. I know that I am not better than you, I don't do more than you, I don't have a higher moral ground than you. But I have mine, it is mine for me and not for anyone but me. I won't make you agree with me, but I will not agree with you if you tell me that I am wrong to believe that WE CAN DO BETTER THAN VOTE IN POLLS.We can build something MUCH more powerful.Consensus.I love you all. I do, I want you to love me, and I want to please you in what I do. I want you to be proud of me for standing up and writing what I believe. I want you to tell me when you think I am confused but I do not want you to condemn me for disagreeing with your method. I have a different one, it's right for me. If I'm hurting someone then I need to stop, but if I'm helping people and you can see that, don't make me feel bad for doing that. Can we be a family with differences of opinion and love one another in spite of that? We all want to be happy, and some of us are happy in different ways. Please talk to me, tell me what you think.[and now I know the music that will follow and it is only now it comes to my mind]http://cannablog.wordpress.com/2006/11/07/and-there-was-communication/

Wish Kerry had been elected as well but,
Wish Kerry had been elected as well but, America invaded Iraq in March of 2003. The war had already hit the fan by the time of the 2004 Presidential election. Also, Kerry and most of the other dittoheads on Capital Hill voted for giving Pres. Shrub authority to use pre-emptive military force against Iraq. What a devastating mistake they made for fear of losing popularity and power bestowed by a shell-shocked populace momentarily engaged in an uninformed patriotic orgy. Now, if Al Gore had been inaguarated in 2000 after winning the popular vote, and arguably, the electoral vote also.... sighBut, looks like the Dems are turning things around tonite!

We are starting to settle in and watch the news. I cautiously say I have a renewed hope in the people. Sometimes I think no one sees what is going on and it actually scares me now that my eyes have been opened to how things in politics really are. It was a rude awakening for me since Pollyanna should be my middle name. Obviously we aren't alone and many people cast their vote accordingly. Even if the Democrats win big time I still will feel bad because of all the waste of human life and resources that have gone into a war that shouldn't have ever been. Somewhere in Iraq a soldier has been hurt today and maybe one or more have been killed. Parents and a wife, husband or children will be crying tonight. So any victory is really tempered for me tonight.

I hope you find a Blue Revolution Candle Vigil. That would be great. I don't know much about politics. I know more since I got on the Internet. I was asked in an MSNBC news chat a number of years back what my political party was. I was surprised because I didn't follow politics and only had voted for Reagan and that was the only time until 04. So even though I'm older I really don't know much about politics. Clinton couldn't do much after Rove got the Republicans in. This time it might stop some of Bush's runaway spending I hope. If they gain control or at least the House and then, don't tell anymone but I do like Obama, maybe we will see good and healthy change in America after 08.

FoM,
Here you are, way up here. I took off two hours from work and drove to two different voting places. The first one informed me they were not in my precinct, and since I had not voted early, I had to vote in my own precinct. They told me where it was, and off I went. There were people, young and old, holding signs up that said: VOTE! My precinct was at a church, though. They were so low keyed, I had to ask where the entrance was to vote. No signs, nothing. It was a black church, with many black people about, and working the tables and voting machines. They were well informed and made sure everything went smoothly. It was kinda boring, but I am going out tonight to see if I can find a Blue Revolution Candle Vigil. Now that we have the Dems in, we need to start working on them. If we don't get any Change, then it will be THIRD PARTY Rising '08...There were as many Ind. as there were Lib., but no Greens. I am registered Green, but I have only had one opportunity to vote for a National level Green candidate, and that was Nader in 2000. I wanted to vote for Kinky, but I didn't want to lesson the chances of getting a Dem. in office. Sorry, Kinky.Dank, I'm smoking what I got. I'll figure out what that tip 'o the hat was for. Thanks. In reading the stuff from sfgate and others about California, I wanted to point out another exciting development - Jerry Brown is running for AG! So it's possible that he could replace Lockyer.I found this to be great news. An independent-minded AG that stands up to the feds could be all it takes to stop the raiding in California. Now we'll see if he wins, and also whether he's willing to take a stand. I'm sure he had to suck up to the LEO-types in order to run for AG.

I am so excited I am sick to my stomach.I owe thanks to my many supporters from across Alabama and the entire world and I owe many thanks to the Alabama media for all of their coverage of my campaign. I realize, as a write-in candidate, that none of them had to cover me or my campaign at all. Yet...many of them did and continued to do so even after our attempt at ballot access failed.http://nallforgovernor.blogspot.com/We are praying for you Loretta and all the men and women who are real people.

Just got back from voting. I was able to vote Green for a couple of offices, no Libertarians on the ballot whatsoever :-((((Both my State Senator and my State Representative had no one else running against them. Only their name appeared on the ballot. So much for Democracy. What a joke. It's just like Iraq with Saddam - he'd win elections with 99% of the vote.I don't see any difference here. One candidate mean tyranny, not freedom. I left the voting place wondering if anyone else even cares?

Thanks whig! The Dems are leaning Libertarian!
Once the election is over, Libertarianism, with all its' pros' and cons', will substitute for the Republican values the Dems embraced, and have now abdicated.Sorry you didn't get to vote, that is upsetting to me!Cheers to a Democratic victory, and notice, the biggest flub-ups is in Denver, where the Cannabis vote is making for a huge turnout!Ahhhhh!!!!
Thanks the Unierses for 5 Planets in Scorpio, change, change and more change!
Howard Dean is a Scorpio with a Gemini Moon, and today, and last night, the planets are in the same position as they were when he was born, thus his appearance on Keith Olberman last night!Even the MSM is painting this as a Democratic win, and that is amazing, they must be trying to re-establish credibiliy, that they know they have very little of!

I could try to explain better but it would be hard, I am a lot of things and you have to read what I write and say to know what I think. If you think that a label can substitute for knowing everything about a person who holds that label, then you can be fooled by people who choose the label falsely.Anyhow it doesn't matter what it means, it's a banner or color or flag or standard. Just a name for a people who take it. That is my tribe, it is my political identity, but it means exactly what it means to those who hold it.Political parties should not be institutionalized, you cannot prevent a corporate party from becoming corrupted. The United States of America is on trial.

VOTED FOR LIBERTARIAN PARTY CANDIDATE TODAY!!!
This morning, I voted. Len Flynn is the Libertarian Party candidate for U.S. Senator here in New Jersey. www.njlp.org. I not only voted for Len Flynn!! I wrote his name in for every other elected office open to voters, including County Board of Chosen Freeholders [two slots, which means I wrote his name in TWICE!!!], North Brunswick Council Members [here in North Brunswick, N.J., my vague recall being two separate slots, which means I wrote "Len Flynn" in TWICE!!!]! Len Flynn down the line!!! The reason why I voted exclusively for Libertarian Party candidates is that the election campaigns for Robert Menendez, Incumbent U.S. Senator (Democrate) and Tom Kean, Jr., (Republican)(Presently a N.J. State Senator on the Senate Health Committee and AGAINST medical Marijuana!!!)(Whose father, former N.J. Governor Thomas Kean, gained much influence from a subsequently federal court convicted N.J. State Senator, of Hudson County), were mud slinging negative campaigns, both have roots in Hudson County, N.J., corruption. I began voting some time around 1980, voted for U.S. Presidential candidate George Herbert Walker Bush. It was over seven years afterwards that I learned that the Bush Family gained their family fortune from financing over 40% of Adolph Hitler's steel production, according to retired U.S. Department of Justice Nazi Hunter Section Attorney named John Loftus, www.john-loftus.com. I have sent letters to various Boards of Education, P.T.A.s, State and Federal legislators, asking to improve the curriculum of public schools to teach the youth the dark side of government, to adequately prepare them for adulthood, www.johntaylorgatto.com. Have any of you people ever attended one of your local Board of Education meetings or P.T.A. meetings to voice support for improvement of the public school curriculum to teach the dark side of government? In my 27 years of voting experience, and I DO learn from experience, I have come to the conclusion that Republicans and Democrats are selling out Americans for the cheeeep labor and corporate pigs. As a result, I have resolved to vote for ONLY Libertarian Party and Green Party candidates, though I would vote for Congressman Ron Paul and some of the other members of the U.S. House of Representatives Liberty Caucus, in a New York minute!! Don't forget, people: NEW JERSEY HAS THE HIGHEST PROPERTY TAX RATES IN THIS COUNTRY! New Jersey residents have traditionally supported Democratic Party candidates, but whether you vote for Illinois rooted Jon Corzine, who is now N.J. Governor, or another Bush, they BOTH promise to reduce taxes and they both end up raising taxes, for the two primary municipal tax revenue producers: MUNICIPAL COURTS (LAW ENFORCEMENT) AND SCHOOLS (which teach our children that the police are our "friends"!!!). Its a failure, people! We are all being deceived by Democrats and Republicans. I can jet jaw about it until I have trouble catching my breath, but it will not do any good if people continue to vote for the enemies of freedom: DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS!!! I have sent letters to N.J. Legislators, including Governor Corzine, proposing the LEGALIZATION, REGULATION, AND TAXATION OF MARIJUANA AS A MEANS OF TAX REVENUE, CITED www.prohibitioncosts.org, but I have not received any response from any of these State and Federal legislators. Not only do Democrats and Republicans overtax us for too much law enforcement, Cf.
Are Cops Constitutional?, by Roger Roots, Law Professor, 2001 Seton Hall Constitutional Law Journal 685, www.constitution.org/lrev/roots.cops.htm, gun control laws which only victimizes the law abiding citizens, www.jpfo.org. Congressman Rush Holt, D-N.J., who was on the election ballot when I voted this morning, submitted a House Bill which would require ALL Americans to surrender our firearms!! The Democrats and Republicans support the United Nations, whose International Narcotics Treaties and International Small Arms Treaties are a major obstacle to the legalization of Marijuana in this country. By the way, Democrats and Republicans provide substantial financial support to the United Nations, which includes the World Health Organization CODEX ALIMENTARIUS, a plan to restrict our access to all herbs, vitamins, minerals, to doctor's prescription only [Are any of you readers aware of how poorly trained M.D.s are of nutrition?]. The Codex Alimentarius "food code" also includes eliminating our individual freedoms and is "progressing" in having the United Kingdom align themselves with the European Union, which will, in the not too distant future, repeal trial by jury. See, e.g.: www.nocodexgenocide.com/page/page/3780258.htm, a web page put out by IAHF, 556 Boundary Bay Road, Point Roberts, Washington, 98281, (Toll free telephone number)(800) 333-2553, (Non-toll free telephone number)(306) 945-0352. Another plan to repeal our individual freedoms with the help of Democrats and Republicans, also under the radar, is by the Council on Foreign Relations and Free Trade Agreement international creeps, to eliminate our International borders between Mexico-U.S. and Canada-U.S., by the year 2010, as reported by The John Birch Society, one such article being in their June 2006 or July 2006 issue of www.thenewamerican.com. Slow, incremental, secret selling-out of Americans, now noticable from the increased population of foreigners. While you people have empathy for the plight of poor Mexicans, have any of you people ever heard of the "Plan of San Diego"? It is a plan devised by Mexicans residing in Northern Mexico, to KILL ALL WHILE MALES OVER THE AGE OF 16. At an immigration rally around Austin, Texas, less than a year ago, there were Hispanics wearing shirts bearing "The Plan of San Diego"!!! It's what the public schools, major media, and "our" legislators DON'T TELL US which is so detrimental to Americans! This is why I ONLY vote for Libertarian Party and Green Party, as a second, last resort, choice for public office. Go ahead and call me a "spoiler" all you want!! Show me how the National Security Agency Act of 1947 has helped the American people?Richard Paul Zuckerman, Post Office Box 159, Metuchen, New Jersey, 08840-0159, (Cell telephone number)(848) 250-8879.

My little protest. No one notices but me.I asked for a paper ballot...but then a machine read it...instead of dropping in it a box.It was a machine thing...even with a paper ballot. Everyone that came in while I was there asked for paper. There was a booth with some sort of machine...but you had to wait in line for it, if you wanted to use it. And according to DailyKos, this may and should be illegal, as the number of the caller is disguised, and when the Dems take over, an investigation will expose Karl Roves' dirty tricks operation! Please read to see the context with which I am speaking, then send the DailyKos article far and wide, we got Keith Olberman and Howard Dean to address it last night, and it needs to stay in the news, thanks from every concientious voter!http://dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/11/7/05117/9540From the article posted at DailyKosWhy I think this is a Republican operation: First, Kennedy calling voters in Virginia is a dead giveaway. Second, no reputable marketing firm handles mutually competing clients, and no client with any brains at all will knowingly hire a firm that handles a competitor's account. Third, there have been no complaints about misleading phone calls directed against Republicans, only directed against Democrats. This stuff can of course be verified; and at least one reporter is calling Ted Kennedy's office to ask if they've hired any telemarketers in the Fresno or Hanford California areas. If TK's people say No, and are willing to swear to it, the proverbial jig is up.

vernacular, and the chest-thumping coming from so many of the
Republican
campaigners today, each of us must wonder about the convenience of the
timing of his conviction and sentencing. But let us give history and coincidence the benefit of the doubt -
let's say
it's just "happened" that way - and for a moment not look into the
wrong end
of the telescope.Let's perceive instead the bigger picture:Saddam Hussein, found guilty in an Iraqi court.Who can argue against that?He is officially, what the world always knew he was: a war criminal.Mr. Bush, was this imprimatur, worth the cost of 2,832 American lives,
and
thousands more American lives yet to be lost?Is the conviction of Saddam Hussein the reason you went to war in Iraq?Or did you go to war in Iraq because of the Weapons of Mass Destruction
that
did not exist?Or did you go to war in Iraq because of the connection between Iraq and
Al
Qaeda that did not exist?Or did you go to war in Iraq to break the bonds of tyranny there -
while
installing the mechanisms of tyranny here?Or did you go to war in Iraq because you felt the need to wreak
vengeance
against somebody - anybody?Or did you go to war in Iraq to contain a rogue state which, months
earlier,
your own administration had declared had been fully contained by
sanctions?Or did you go to war in Iraq. to keep gas prices down? How startling it was, Sir, to hear you introduce oil to your stump
speeches
over the weekend. Not four years removed from the most dismissive, the most
condescending, the
most ridiculing denials of the very hint at, as Mr. Rumsfeld put it,
this
"nonsense".There you were, campaigning in Colorado, in Nebraska, in Florida, in
Kansas - suddenly turning this 'unpatriotic idea'. into a platform
plank."You can imagine a world in which these extremists and radicals got
control
of energy resources," you told us. "And then you can imagine them
saying,
'We're going to pull a bunch of oil off the market to run your price of
oil
up unless you do the following."Having frightened us, having bullied us, having lied to us, having
ignored
and re-written the constitution under our noses, having stayed the
course,
having denied you've stayed the course, having belittled us about
"timelines" but instead extolled "benchmarks" .You've now resorted, Sir, to this?We must stay in Iraq to save the two-dollar gallon of gas?-Mr. President, there is no other conclusion we can draw as we go to the
polls tomorrow.Sir. you have been making this up as you went along. This country was founded to prevent anybody from making it up as they
went
along. Those vaunted founding fathers of ours have been so quoted-up, that
they
appear as marble statues: like the chiseled guards of China, or the
faces on
Mount Rushmore. But in fact they were practical people and the thing they obviously
feared
most, was a government of men and not laws. They provided the checks and balances for a reason. No one man could run the government the way he saw fit - unless he, at
the
least, took into consideration what those he governed saw.A House of Representatives would be the people's eyes.A Senate would be the corrective force on that House. An Executive would do the work. and hold the Constitution to his chest
like
his child.A Supreme Court would oversee it all.Checks and balances.Where did that go, Mr. Bush? And what price did we pay because we have let it go?Saddam Hussein will get out of Iraq the same way 2,832 Americans have,
and
thousands more. He'll get out faster than we will. And if nothing changes tomorrow, you, Sir, will be out of the White
House
long before the rest of us can say. we are out of Iraq. And whose fault is this? Not truly yours. You took advantage of those of us who were afraid, and
those of us who believed unity and nation took precedence over all
else. But we let you take that advantage. And so we let you go to war in Iraq. To. oust Saddam. Or find
non-existant
Weapons. Or avenge 9/11. Or fight terrorists who only got there after
we
did. Or as cover to change the fabric of our Constitution. Or for lower
prices at The Texaco. Or. ?There are still a few hours left, before the polls open, sir, there are
many
rationalizations still untried. And whatever your motives of the moment, we the people have, in true
good
faith and with the genuine patriotism of self-sacrifice (of which you
have
shown you know nothing). we have let you go on.Making it up.As you went along.Un-checked. and un-balanced.Vote.GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK !!----

"...Well that's the thing; Cannabis laws here are harshe(ish). After living here for quite a few years now, I've been stopped to be 'arrested' twice. In those two incidents, the Caribbean police here, have stated simply to respect the police...However that's after some pretty serious Fnord'ing by the officer in charge. Although I've never been arrested here or anywhere in the world, it's pretty clear that MJ should be kept at home or at the more private locations/parties.The Sticky stuff is grown by the Rasta's up in the ~3000 feet high rich tropical jungle, volcanic mountains here; mostly to avoid the 'law'.I've smoked all types here, the best is some serious local stuff that makes ya eyes water :DThe police here make treks up into the mountains to 'eradicate' the plants. It's a sick unjust law against mental/medical free-dom.My mission and now dream is to work with Someone like Roger Christie to obtain a 'legal' license for this Caribbean nation, working toward education over this plant for all. That's why mi is here :DAnd Ja! OT, but really interesting, FoM.
I just got this in my e-mail. This is humongous! Mayan, you probably have seen this already. I hope this is legit, I didn't research it myself.CALL FOR AN INDEPENDENT 9/11 INVESTIGATION2006WHEREAS, events of September 11, 2001 (9/11) have been the rationale for the war on terror, the wars on Afghanistan and Iraq, the Patriot Act and numerous other attacks on civil liberties, the use of torture, vast increases in military spending and the concentration of powers in the executive branch; and,WHEREAS, 9/11 has been used by the Bush Administration to justify huge federal budget cuts that cripple social services to women and children such as child care, abuse protection, health care and education; andWHEREAS, 9/11 has been used by the Bush Administration to undermine civil liberties granted in the First and Fourth amendments of the Constitution with measures such as the Patriot Acts; andWHEREAS, the Bush Administration refused to have an investigation of 9/11 until public pressure forced him in 2003 to appoint a national commission;THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the National Organization for Women (NOW) call for a new and truly independent 9/11 investigation that addresses the unanswered 9/11 questions. Voted
Weird. I was given a choice of voting with a paper ballot that was fed into a machine, or a screen voting machine that was not Diebold, and not a touch screen voting machine. I chose the paper ballot. The machine I fed it into said I voted, so I guess I did. I was about to vote straight Dem., but I wanted to vote against Republicans in the races where there was no Dem. candidate, but rather a Green, Independent, or Libertarian opponent. I voted against the Rep. in every choice, at every chance. So, remember, if you vote straight Dem. ticket, you will lose the chance to vote against many Rep. Any party is better. Plus, although it may turn out to be false, I feel like I left a PAPER TRAIL.Toke.

That is terrible. I'm not sure what time we are going to vote. Since the Republicans have been in power we no longer vote at a local rural Grange but we have to vote at a Mennonite Church. Churches are fine places to go to pray but I think it is wrong to have voting in a Church and hopefully if they lose power in our state we can get it back to our local Grange. Good luck with the voting machines today everyone.

I just voted. At least I tried to. The Diebold "Accu-Vote" machine wasn't taking our ballots! We all had to put our ballots in the compartment at the bottom of the machine while the lady there assured us they would be counted. What a huge crock of shit!!! Anyway, the Greens got my vote. I hope.

Of most interest was an amendment co-sponsored by Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Orange Co) to prevent the DEA from interfering with state medical marijuana laws. Thanks to support from minority leader Nancy Pelosi (S.F.), California Democrats voted 30 - 2 in favor of the amendment (the renegades were "Valley Democrats" Rep. Joe Baca (San Bernardino) and Rep. Dennis Cardoza (Merced) ). Unfortunately, due to unrelenting pressure from the arch-prohibitionist Republican leadership of Speaker Hastert, only one California Republican, Rep. Mary Bono (Palm Springs), dared to support Rorhrabacher's amendment this year (Rep. Bill Thomas (Bakersfield) supported the measure last year, but switched his vote).http://www.drugsense.org/dpfca/Election%20Guide%202004/Election-US.htm(note: arch-prohibitionist Republican leadership of Speaker Hastert) - (((serious Republican (retired police woman))) ...think alike... Yeah, George W. came down to Fla. today to support the Republican candidate for governor Charlie Crist, and the guy didn't even have the courtesy to show up!! I think the writing is on the wall. The polls are looking good for the Democratic challenger in our House district (FL-22). All I know is that in approximately 8 hours, I will be heading to the polls down the street in to kick my Congressman's fat old lazy Republican rubber-stamping ass to the curb.Have a pleasant evening, all, and get plenty of rest. We'll need it. Something tells me we may have a grueling, nerve-racking day ahead of us tomorrow. Did you see THAT? Keith hits a Grand Slam!
With Howard Dean (Scorpio) who continued the Robo Call story, thankfully, and then......the tag at the end before the commerccial break where the 'young' teen tells Congressmen to 'give him a call'!Beautiful, the predator/pedophile/republican closet case story is now 'out there', and ALL Republicans are sexually suspect, and I am pro gay rights etc, as most are here, I safely assume! These guys do anything to get elected, especially eating their own! It's the hypocrisy Republicans, and you know it, no one needs to spell it out anymore, even Pat Buchanan (Scorpio), is calling for the overthrow of the Repubs in the latest issue of the Conservative! Thank the Universe for 5 planets in Scorpio to bring the world to its' senses! (barring Greg Palasts' predictions, which you know will manifest, drat)!

Great coverage! Lawsuits lining up.....
though it may too late to counter the negative effects, we shall see, my prediction: it all unravels after the election and the Repugs are sued for millions in fines, bye-bye GOP!If Greg Palast is right, we've been screwed already, what do C-Newsers think, well see what happens with vote counting in Colorado surely, there will no controversy, snark!Check out Gregory Palast! From the Guardian UK:Here’s how the 2006 mid-term election was stolen.Note the past tense. And I’m not kidding. And shoot me for saying this, but it won’t be stolen by jerking with the touch-screen machines (though they’ll do their nasty part). While progressives panic over the viral spread of suspect computer black boxes, the Karl Rove-bots have been tunneling into the vote vaults through entirely different means. For six years now, our investigations team, at first on assignment for BBC TV and the Guardian, has been digging into the nitty-gritty of the gaming of US elections. We’ve found that November 7, 2006 is a day that will live in infamy. Four and a half million votes have been shoplifted. Here’s how they’ll do it, in three easy steps:http://gregpalast.com/

Pizza delivery goodies for NYC....
New York City has a big Cannabis market, a huge amount required for just one weekend. Too bad the doctors and lawyers and CEO's who just LOVE their MJ are not more active in the fight against unjust MJ laws.
Many innocent lives have been lost on Rt87 south due to auto or bus accidents because LEO's put up road blocks that were set up they said to catch illegal aliens but more likely also to catch the MJ going south to NYC. The drug business big $$$ for upstate LEO's, in fines, property confiscation, prisons and county jails.
People in upstate New York struggle to make honest livings but often it is the poor person who pays the price for NYC residents to be able to get that "special" pizza.
