MUNCIE, Ind. Indiana State Police investigators arrested a Muncie police officer Wednesday for growing 110 marijuana plants on his property.
Gary J. Cox, 38, was being held in the Delaware County Jail on $5,000 bond for possessing and cultivating the drug. The bust was made after state police received a tip. They worked with Delaware County Deputy Prosecutor J.A. Cummings and obtained a search warrant for the property. Authorities found the plants -- ranging in height from 2 to 6 inches -- in an indoor facility on Cox's property. Troopers seized the plants and arrested Cox. Detectives said the investigation was continuing, and could lead to additional charges and arrests.

You feel one way and we here feel another. That's all I have to say and let's end this now. Too many serious things to concern ourselves with besides different opinions. Thanks.

Huh?
Why wouldn't it happen with cannabis? It's just as addicting as any other drug.

Thank You
I didn't see Cannabis just drugs in general and alcohol. I agree drug addicts can commit crimes to get money to buy drugs but that wouldn't happen with Cannabis.

Welcome to CNews. This is a very old article and we don't often comment on them because they are dated. I don't have the data on crimes and what people are using if anything. Do you have a link?

Cop Curruption
Most crimes are comitted under the influence of marijuana. Nothing justifies a person who is supposed to be PREVENTING crime to put himself into a position where he is likely to cause it. It makes me sick.

how did they find out?
So does anyone know how the State Police got the tip? Was the cop betrayed by someone he told? How did the person know about the plants?

cops are human
talking about cop pot-heads to those who feel that pot should be illegal is not a very intelligent approach. I smoke weed and also don't find this bit of useless information to be important. it has nothing to do with the big picture, which should focus on the general public, not individuals. if you don't already know that cops do illegal things sometimes then take your head out of your compost.
