Ventura Has Said He Supports Hemp Production!
Source: Channel 4000

ST. PAUL, Minn. A House panel today rejected a proposal that would have allowed the University of Minnesota to grow experimental plots of industrial hemp, reports WCCO-Radio.
Hemp, a cousin to marijuana, is illegal in Minnesota and most other states. But unlike marijuana, hemp contains virtually none of the substance that makes people high. Hopefully this won't stop Hemp from being legalized!

Its not dead

hey.. I also live in MN and I dont think Jesse is backing down at all. He's said many times he is in support of Hemp and medical MJ, and has had articles in High Times highlighting this. If you read the whole article on the WCCO site they say that the bill isnt dead, they might just tack it on to another bill. And the medical MJ bill isnt dead either.. with the building support of it, and with Jesses continued support, it will get a lot of attention next season. And the government lies are becoming unraveled... the truth will come out! Theres just too much popular interest growing, and too much scientific evidence for the prohibitionists to try and cover up.Peace~

Jessie don't let us down!

Hello Rainbow,Being a politican with an idea in our current society has to be hard. I believe that Ventura's ideals are still intact but who knows who pulls strings anymore. I don't have much faith in our political system but I hope Jessie Ventura responds to this and tries to make a change back to his campaign promise! Peace, FoM!

Is Jesse becoming another politician w/ campaign p

I have been in email contact with my legislator and senator. I have asked them WHY but have not received an answer. I think the misinformation campaign by the Feds has really worked and several in the MN gov't must be scared. I can not understand why Ventura is backing down.It was he who helped put a damper on the Medical Marijuana bill or at least his safety commissioner Weaver who spoke for Jesse.I think Jesse is getting some bad advice. His heart was apparently in the right place but his advisors (old time politicians) have gotten to him.I hope that I am wron but last year it would have passed except Arnie Carlson (our gov then) blocked passage.Maybe mcaffrey has a red phone into Jesse now.CheersRainbow
