Oops, Just a Little Red Faced!
Authorities are a bit red-faced in Medina, County, Ohio, where lights used to grow marijuana were inadvertently sold at a jail auction.
The county this week auctioned off various items from its old jail, which is going to be demolished next year. The loot included office furniture, fire extinguishers and steel bars. It also included so-called marijuana "grow lights," which had been confiscated during a drug bust. Wonder what the people feel like that bought the lights and now they are knocking on their door? The lights had been declared contraband by a federal judge and ordered destroyed. But they weren't. Instead, they sat forgotten in garages behind the old jail. The county's drug task force has tracked down the buyers and is buying the lights back. Wonder if they'll get them back?
