JACKSONVILLE Two Jacksonville Sheriff's Office dispatchers were arrested after one allegedly obtained a prescription for a headache painkiller and gave it to the other.
According to police reports, Tammy Sue Stone, 34, called her doctor and asked for a prescription for her headaches. The doctor prescribed a narcotic, Stadol.After obtaining the prescription Monday evening at a Walgreen Drug Store, Stone and Lisa Jo Bowen, 34, met behind the store and Stone passed the prescription to Bowen, according to police reports.Two police officers, who had received a tip, watched the women and arrested them.Stone told officers she obtained the drugs to give to her friend because she did not have the money to get them herself.Bowen was charged with possession of a controlled substance and Stone was charged with obtaining a controlled substance by fraud. Both were placed on leave without pay until their cases are resolved, police spokesman John Turner said.
