Governor Ventura Pins Book Deal!

Way to go Jessie!
His life certainly sounds like a movie, but Jesse "The Body" Ventura-- the ex-Navy Seal, pro-wrestler, actor and radio talk show host whose victory in the Minnesota governor's race last month was one of the biggest political surprises in years-- has pinned a book deal to the mat first.
The tentatively titled "I Ain't Got Time to Bleed: Reworking the Body Politic From the Bottom Up," was won by Villard editor Bruce Tracy over at least four other bidders Wednesday. The deal is said to be in the mid-six figures for North American rights.Govenor Elect Ventura might just be one of the major reasons that the laws will be changed on Marijuana! He is a breath of fresh air in a very stale political atmosphere! (Regarding marijuana: "People don't realize that it's a very multifaceted plant, that it should be used rather than eradicated. I can't understand why every environmentalist wouldn't get on board for it.")

our little opinion
We are not from the state of Minnesota but have followed the WWF and Jesse Venturas political election. We are voting today on a new president among other things. I only wish that the decsion was be easy. I am not real comfortable with any of our candidates. I would like to see some of the gumption of the Gov. of Minnesota and some of his views (such as on marijuana) in others.Good lick in the coming years.

Like him or dont...he is a breath of fresh air...
When I was a child, I thought as a child...then I grew up and got downright FUCKING bitter at all the hypocracy I see around me day after day. While on extended duty overseas in the "Ronny-Ray-Gun" years, I got to see FIRSTHAND the BS the US GOV sold to its people at home...as well as the REALITY that occured (was operationaly imposed?) on foreign soil. It has been a long time since ANY political figure...male, female, black, white, other...has made me EVEN CONSIDER listening to...much less trusting. Like Jesse or not (I cant STAND wrestling personaly)..ya gotta admit...the man is a breath of fresh air in our current SOULESS political arena. You go jesse!!...and if the time comes...I will follow! The truth shall set US free!JTSpade

apologies
Jessy, I travel each week to various parts of the country and inevitably the cab driver will ask me what part of the country I come from (it's called small talk). I am tird of trying to explain how more than one third of this state could have voted for such a mindless, self serving, inept, washed up wrestler as yourself. If you come back from Japan with no more than a promise to buy 40k of pork a month you should hang it up. There are supermarkets that sell more than that in a month, or haven't you figured out that 40k is only one truck load. Bet this message doesn' get posted !
