Cass County Prosecutor Scott Teter promised Thursday to publicly release all information about police actions at Rainbow Farm as soon as possible after he sees final reports from the FBI and state police.Teter said both agencies completed their investigation Thursday at the Vandalia campground, and he expects it will be at least two weeks before he sees the final reports.
"There is lots and lots of speculation as far as what actually transpired during the standoff and during the shootings themselves," said Teter, who said he could not answer specific questions regarding the deaths of Tom Crosslin and Rolland Rohm. "When we are able to assemble all of the reports and get the autopsies back, we will air those in the public with all of the evidence and text."Teter said he has asked the Michigan Attorney General's office to join him in reviewing the reports and determining if the shootings were justified - although he was not mandated to do so."We're going to tell the families and tell the public so everybody understands exactly what the evidence shows happened," Teter said.Terry Livermore, who is Rohm's stepfather, attended the news conference and expressed skepticism of the police version of the events leading to the shootings."I find it in my heart to forgive you," he told Teter. "But I believe it was an outright killing."He said he can't believe his stepson and Crosslin would have set fire to the buildings at the campground."I can't believe the house was burned the way the FBI said it was," he added.Livermore said he knew the campground as a fun place, not as haven for drug dealing, as Teter described it.He said he and his wife are also upset they have been unable to see their 13-year-old grandson, who had been removed from Rohm's custody.Teter said Rohm's son will remain in foster care. "Our office will continue to be involved in the probate court case to make sure the best that can happen for the boy does," Teter said."I sympathize with the family," Teter said. "Many of them didn't have the opportunity to try to get them to come out, many of them didn't have a chance to say good-bye."Teter said the future of the farm is also unclear, although he said forfeiture proceedings will still be pursued. Police aircraft shot at ???
The police say that a shot was fired at a police aircraft and missed. I,m not talking about the news helicopter. How do they know that? Did they see this bullet pass by with thier eyes? How do they know it came from the farm? I can just see how it went:Pilot to ground control: Just entered suspects airspace.Ground Control: What do you see?Pilot to Ground Control: Not muchGround Control: You have to see something.Pilot to Ground Control: Just green fields, and burning buildings.Ground Control: We need more than that.Pilot to Ground Control: Oh Yeah! a bullet. looks like a Remington 22 cal. shot from suspects farm. I could tell it came from the suspects weapon. I saw the rifling marks on the side, Just went by the windscreen. Missed by 5-11/32 inches.Ground Contol: What color?Pilot to Ground Contorl: Lead Gray. I'm sure.Ground Control: Are you sure it was a Remington and not a Winchester?Pilot to Ground Control: Positive.Ground control to Troops: There's our green light. Repeat, green light, we have a go. This is not a drill. GREEN LIGHT.What excellent vision these people have.I would like to have this claim that they were shot at and missed, looked at real close.

FoM
Hey FoM, thank you so much. The truth has slowly been creeping out of external news sources and other reform sites, but you've been the trooper all this week in getting the word out, and we thank you.Richard's e-mail friend said that maybe we should wait for the press to release the official autopsy... Does anyone think that the autopsy and/or the conclusions of the independent investigator will get any play? I don't. I think it's clear that even the local press is more interested in lapping up the official versions and official demagoguery, so any other news organizations will easily pass. It's going to end up being the protests and protestors in this case. Either by large scale demonstrations, or by those people getting state or national lawmakers interested in a true investigation.Tom and Rolland were killed for cannabis. It is only we that will ever change anyone elses mind.

Get up, Stand up, Stand up for your right.
FoM is corect while attending the farm be careful, do not let anybody create any violence. Some people would like to see this and use it aginst the effort. There might be people there to intentionally disrupt the peace so they can say I told you so. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN. If somebody is stirring it up, try to circumvent the situation, ask for help if you need to. If they will not cool it, ask them politly to leave. If you have a problem see one of the activists that seem to have things under control and explain the situation. We cannot let this get out of hand. This has the potential of being the turning point in history. Do not blow it. These men gave their lives for what they belived in, we can not let them, or their famillies down now. We shall be heard but it has to be done right. Thank You All. Get up, Stand up, Stand up for your rights.

Rainbow Farm: Reader's Digest condensed version
One hundred and twenty highly-trained law enforcement agents were unable to devise plans to subdue two men armed with 22 cal. rifles short of killing them.

Important E-Mail News from Richard Lake
Hi, FriendsThe news articles about the Rainbow Farm murders continue to come in, but now just from Michigan newspapers (whereas the wire service stories of earlier in the week were widely published). Most current stories are at http://www.mapinc.org/find?200 (Rainbow Farm Shooting)Most exciting is that your letters to the editor are starting to be published. The local newspaper the farm's area published TEN (!) of your letters. See http://www.mapinc.org/drugnews/v01.n1645.a02.htmlThe funeral service for Grover (Tom) Crosslin will be held at Walley, Mills, & Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 E. Jackson Blvd., Elkhart, Indiana. Visitation is 3 pm to 8 pm (4 to 9 Mich. Time) on Friday, 7 Sep. Funeral Service will commence at 1100 am (Noon Michigan time) on Saturday. MAP has ordered flowers on behalf of all activists.Plans for Rolland Rohm's funeral service are now again pending as the result of his lawyer obtaining a second autopsy.A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, 15 September for friends & relatives - at what's left of the Farm. A map is at http//www.rainbowfarmcampground.com/map.htmActivists have been demonstrating in an area near MI highway 60 east of Vandalia since the standoff started a week ago. There has been calls on various email lists for more activists to go to Vandalia. While activists already there welcome all who wish to join them, they write that folks should be "very careful here...these guys aren't playing. We have a fragile hold on emotions here already and are focusing on keeping the peace. This is no dress rehearsal...all of our lives may depend on it!" The population of Vandalia is approximately 357. It is a distance to most services. Community and police reaction is at best mixed. Many are not happy with the attention now being focused on their community. There has been harassment by some - both within the police and the public - of those who are demonstrating. The goal of the demonstrations is to win hearts and minds - not to confront! Also quoted from messages to me by an activist at the demonstrations late Thursday evening (note that the autopsy results have not been confirmed as I send this, therefore our activist considers this an unofficial statement, subject to change):Did you know that Tom's autopsy today revealed some interesting facts. He sustained 8 gunshot wounds...in this order. First one to R shoulder area, the second shot was to his R hand (in a fending off position) and the remaining 5 to the head. The bullet that went into his R hand, passed into his body...that would be 9 holes, but he was shot 8 times. It's my understanding that the results of Tom's autopsy are to made public tomorrow. I know that Tom's sister did several interviews regarding those findings. Watch closely for it...I will attempt to get your hard copy verification, too. We should maybe wait till it 'officially' hits the press, yes?The truth is being revealed at Rainbow Farm. I don't believe that they will get away with this one...Jerri, Rollie's mother, and her family have ordered the second autopsy. Also, an independent investigator arrives in the AM to find out what REALLY happened there. There is other information, but there is reason not to divulge it here. I will keep you posted, as I can. The support is growing and the DAZE is lifting. People are getting angry, naturally. But,But, we have a positive and peaceful spirit...and ignoring efforts to incite us.Their lies are unraveling, Richard. Truth MUST prevail here in MI or we're all doomed to the same fate. Enough...it's time we stopped the madness...they aren't going to! It's up to us.

forfeiture
"Teter said the future of the farm is also unclear, although he said forfeiture proceedings will still be pursued."If I were a prohibitionist, I would consider pursuing forfeiture a bad tactical error. Conviction in the court of public opinion requires only a vocal minority. I'll bet they won't proceed.Any other opinions?
