Galileo vs the Catholic Church

The 350 year old debate continues.

In 1992 Pope John Paul II officially conceded that the Earth was not stationary - it revolved around the sun - but was this the end of the story??

The disagreement between Galileo and the Catholic church began back in the 17th century when Galileo began offering observations that supported Copernicus’s theory that the planet Earth was revolving around the sun rather then the sun revolving around the Earth.

The church maintained that the scriptures indicated that the Earth was stationary. Everyone knew the Earth was stationary, it was an accepted fact. For thousands of years it had been accepted that the heavenly bodies all revolved around the stationary Earth.

And then Copernicus came along and published his book with these heretical ideas on astronomy that stated that the Earth was revolving around the sun. Copernicus was so fearful of the consequenses of his revolutionary theory that he waited until he was on his death bed before he published his book.

His ideas were so radical that the church didn’t feel too threatened - that is until Galileo built his telescope and began discovering moons revolving around Jupiter and the different phases of Venus as it revolved around the sun. This finally got the inquisitor’s attention - these observations were in direct contrast to the scriptures - something had to be done, the scriptures could not be wrong - these heretical theories had to be stopped.

They did this by summoning Galileo to a hearing and threatened to throw him into a dungeon and possibly torture him until he recanted. Galileo knew this was no idle threat since they had tortured and burnt Father Bruno at the stake along with many other heritics over the years.

Galileo’s defense was that scriptures were not wrong, only the theologian’s interpretations of the scriptures were wrong. His defense did not prevail, so in the end, rather then suffer the consequenses, he recanted his theories and went into house arrest knowing that the truth would someday be known.

The language, phrasing, and metaphorical meaning is -directly translated- from a perspective that is 2,000 years old, so one really has to wrap their head around it, is the 'Gospel of Thomas' popularized in the '70's and '80's by one Patterson Brown - the 'guru' and leader of the christian cult known as the 'Christ Brotherhood.' His translation is slightly contemporized, but easier to read.

The family is the obvious form and structure of the universe - as above so below - micro-macro - therefore as you say, committing to the foundation of our families is completely natural and part of the divine nature of all life in the universe, all of God's creation.

I never assume to have the definitive answer for what we are, for no one can amass that much Wisdom in one lifetime, which is how I believe we live our existence, one biological lifetime at a time. We can't remember our previous lifetimes because that would be cheating. Our choice was not to BE Evil or Good, but to KNOW (physically experience) the difference. Life is an answer to that quest to KNOW. Each lifetime we ask, again, to know the knowledge of good and evil. I have been physically damaged by this event. Yes the two trees are seperate 'trees' as far as my understanding goes. However, I know that the 'tree of knowledge-of good and evil' is a metaphor for the basic dilemnas of life, and pursuing correctness.

I believe quite strongly, that the xtian interpretation -perhaps even the entire Judeo-xtian historical interpretation is in error. The 'original sin' other than being mostly an invention of the church to propogate fear, and insure their power over the populace, was not in any action of 'Adam and Eve,' but the 'fallen angels' who held them hostage with that very edict '..thou shalt surely die.'

The nature of creation , and free will is such that logically, the 'tree of knowledge of good and evil' represents the struggle of life and eternity against entropy and death. The 'knowledge' is a two edged sword, but without that knowledge there is NO CHOICE.

The tree of life is as much a promise of inheritance, as it is an actual 'tree.' The 'Plant of renown' as mentioned in Revelations, I believe adamantly to be cannabis.

I have a long story about a profound experience I had concerning the 'garden' and whom I like to refer to sometimes as 'First Man.'

The foundation of guilt and sin which has held mankind in deep spiritual darkness and ignorance since Constantine formed his church of lies, is begun in Genesis, and up until the time of Yashua ben Yoseph, promoted quite vigorously by the powers that were, because it is the one tool of the state, and it's religion, guaranteed to get comliance from the masses. The biblical genesis is not the only account. The gnostics -who were literally chased into the desert, had a 180 degree prespective. The gnostics by the way, were the first church of YSHWH, and most of their writings were excluded from the bible in 1100 AD, when they compiled it...except the Apocrypha of John (Revelations.)

The Dead Sea Scrolls, are gnostic writings. Is it any great wonder that the church leaders have sealed them away for about another 35 years -until after my generation is gone? That my friends pisses me off.

I believe those POSSESSED by the souls of Evil will not go near it. God says he will deny them the Tree of Life. I believe those who have merely been DECIEVED by Satan, however, will use it, deservedly, and be enlightened, and saved from Elimination. But I believe those who have WILLFULLY embraced evil will not be allowed to use it, neither for food, nor medicine. We are truly blessed to use this plant, because we reject evil. The only ones who will not be able to use Cannabis will be Satan, his outcast demons, and those they possess. If you are POSSESSED by them, you will NOT use. You will sit in war rooms and plot attacks on God's Creation. But if you turn from their deception, you may use, and not by force, but by free will. Some come to God only by Truth, some need the healing powers of the Tree of Life. That would be MOST of us.

Keep in mind, the Bible doesn't ban Us from the tree of knowledge, it says,

"In toil you will eat of it All the days of your life."

It seems that verse makes it known that if We obey and overcome (evil) We have permission to the tree of life... it is part of the circle that comes around to - hear what the Spirit says.

Some use the tree of life with permission and some don't...

Are cannabis hemp and canna-bosem two genetically different plants? Is one the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, and one the Tree of Life? Was Hemp created in Eden as a DIFFERENT plant from Canna-bosem? Without Knowledge there would be no need for Wisdom. Were Adam and Eve confused because the two plants looked so much alike? Eating from the Tree of Knowledge sinned against God, Eating from the Tree of Life convicts us of that sin and forgives us and begins the Healing process on our way back to God. But we had to KNOW we sinned. The original sin. Disobedience to God. The original Love. Forgiveness. But we have to ask.

If Adam and Eve, while they were in Eden, had eaten from the Tree of Life, instead of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, would there have ever been War? We would all be walking beside God right now, HIGH on the Tree of Life. I knew God was a Hippie!

The USN admitted in the late '90's that one of the experiments they had been doing between 1969 and 1975 was infecting unknowing recruits with variants of the disease, in orded to create a vaccine, which they did in 1975 -without letting the rest of the world know - -if you can affect a population wholesale with a highly communicative, and debilitating disease that only your own military has the vaccine for, that is an incredible military advantage- -
