cannabis Nevada -- Activists lobbying for support of a ballot question legalizing small amounts of marijuana contend government bodies violated state ethics laws by using taxpayer money to oppose the initiative.

The Committee to Regulate and Control Marijuana filed an emergency motion Thursday in District Court that asked it to prevent public officials from using their position to sway voters on the issue.

lessons learned
I think if anything is learned from this election is how much governmental bodies illegally interfere in these types of issues. It also shows that the officials involved either don’t know or don’t care either.

No accountability
Where is the Law enforment on this one?

Where is any law enforcement these days regarding government oversight, ever?? The biggest example that sticks out to me is 9/11: scores of government officials all the way up to the secretary of defense let thousands of citizens die, and no one has even been fired, let alone prosecuted.

The EPA has murdered many, many people who haven't died yet but will soon by lying about the extremely deadly air quality around "ground zero." Will the EPA chief who is to blame end up in jail? Not likely.

Arrogant Clowns
The state statute cited in the lawsuit says public officers or workers are "prohibited from requesting or otherwise causing governmental entity to incur expense or make expenditure to support or oppose ballot question or candidate in certain circumstances."

Yes, the Question 7 opponents definitely broke the law. These arrogant clowns just don't know when to quit! They can't get away with that crap anymore because we will not let them. We are very pissed off!!! Way to go, Neil!
