cannabis Illinois -- I have been sitting here thinking about the gentleman who was released from prison a few months ago. He came to the conclusion that they should legalize marijuana; he claims that there is nothing wrong with it.

As I am contemplating his claim, I have come to my own conclusions; yes, maybe we should also legalize rape, murder, robbery, assault, kidnapping and every other criminal crime. That way there would be no need to have police officers, judges, juries, and we would save the county money paid to them for sitting and listening to the plea-bargaining that goes on in our courtrooms. I know lawyers would be out of a job it this was to be done.

No, on second thought maybe this gentleman (and I use the term loosely) should just get his head screwed on right and get a life.

Many of us are working to get the message out to the younger generation about how dangerous marijuana is and how it is a gateway drug. Studies have proven this. Not only does marijuana affect the mind and judgment, but it affects the body, too.

I belong to the Cherry Valley Regional Drug Free Coalition. We make it our business to help grade school, middle school and high school children get all the facts about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

So, please ignore this recently released prisoner's views and other who share his belief to legalize marijuana. All they do is ruin kids' lives. The kids of today are the future of tomorrow.

Dwindling Breed
What do rape, murder, robbery, assault, kidnapping and every other criminal crime have to do with the price of beans in Brazil?

Thomas J. Keinz and his breed are quickly becoming the minority in this country. That is why they are screaming louder than ever. They have to compensate for their dwindling numbers!

Just ignore
I love the "just ignore the prisoner" bit. The author is not trying to convince us on the merits of his argument, he's trying to convince us not to think at all.

Does Keinz support jailing adult alcohol users?
I belong to the Cherry Valley Regional Drug Free Coalition. We make it our business to help grade school, middle school and high school children get all the facts about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

If relegalizing cannabis is the equivalent of legalizing rape and murder, then the status quo of the violence and death contributing (but still perfectly legal and government supported) alcohol industry is tantamount to legalizing bestiality, necrophilia and cannibalism.

Criminal Crimes...?
Criminal Crimes? that seems a bit... odd. I agree though; the propoganda meter went of the charts when I read about that bit with "studies have proven this"... I instantly thought - Citations?

Either way... morons like this shouldn't be allowed to post editorials in the newspaper... he didn't even make the effort to put down some of the arguments proponents of legalization put out.

Not to mention the fact that he tried to illustrate a picture that all marijuana users are violent criminals; that's propoganda. Of course I would have expected this from someone who does drug indoctrination... They simply shove facts down your throat and there's no indication as to where it came from.

I must say to this man; you are a moron, go live in your marijuana is ultra-dangerous dream world and stay out of mine...

What lept out at me is
"Studies have proven this."

My propagand-o-meter hit the top of the scale with the title but you know there's something fishy when they claim proof then offer none. What studies? Propaganda is far more dangerous than cannabis.

We can see who cannabis is dangerous too. Lying politicians, major industries, and the police lobby.

...
So, please ignore this beneficiary (and I'm not using this word loosely at all) of the drug war and others who share his belief to profit off the continuing incarceration of nonviolent plant growers and consumers.

What I told them
I said if Mr. Keinz equated legalizing marijuana with legalizing rape and murder, then maybe he's the one who belongs in prison. If he can't tell the difference between giving someone marijuana and raping or killing someone, then he presents a clear danger to society and we'd all be safer if he were off the streets.

Dangerous?
Isn’t it inappropriate to compare using cannabis, to “rape, murder, robbery, assault, kidnapping and every other criminal crime”?

And dangerous? In over 5,000 years of documented use, it still hasn’t killed anyone. That’s safety on a Biblical scale.

It is commendable helping youth resist alcohol, cigarettes, sex, drugs, coffee and cannabis till they are responsible, but caging adults for using cannabis is the wrong way to do it.

Cannabis laws are more harmful to youth than the cannabis.

Thomas J. Keinz is more harmful to youth than cannabis.

Keinz is a Vampire
Keinz is a vampire, using BS to promote fear and hatred for marijuana users.

He's probly sitting back and laughing with his fascist DEA buddies, who are saying, "What can they do about it? We can lie all we want and they can't do a damn thing! If they do try to do anything, we'll just point the finger at them and say, "Look, see, there's an example of dangerous drug-users! Careful, don't let them near your kids!" "

It's pathetic how much power the fascists have over the USA today. Absolutely pathetic!

More propaganda BS
"maybe we should also legalize rape, murder, robbery, assault, kidnapping and every other criminal crime."

Grouping smoking a joint with violent crimes is simply propaganda.

"We make it our business to help grade school, middle school and high school children get all the facts about the dangers of drugs and alcohol."

Yes, their facts.

This clown belongs to "Cherry Valley Regional Drug Free Coalition." You really don't have to go any further. Notice how he ends with the kids again.
