NORML Allegations against a Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship member were filed last week after he was accused of disrupting a marijuana-awareness group's meeting and sending a woman into hysterics.

Josh Manning, president of UF's National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, filed the complaint against UF telecommunications junior Joseph Benson on Friday in response to Benson's alleged unprompted testimony at the meeting.

"Benson's comments were found offensive and completely disrupted the educational environment we were in," Manning wrote in his complaint to the Dean of Students Office.

"They were acting as representatives of Chi Alpha, handing out fliers for their organization and trying to infuse their organization's propaganda into our members," Manning said.

However, Benson said he entered the NORML meeting out of curiosity and was not acting as a representative of Chi Alpha.

He said he did not preach to NORML members or hand out fliers, but calmly spoke when he was recognized.

"The speaker had said some stuff that wasn't true and doesn't line up with what the Bible says," Benson said.

"I just felt that I didn't want him to share things that weren't true and lead kids to believe that pot use is OK."

He said the woman believed to be in hysterics approached him after the meeting and wanted to understand why God was not healing her mother's arthritis.

"I told her the Lord would heal her mother's arthritis, but there were other things she had to do first," Benson said.

Benson said the woman cried when he, along with four Chi Alpha members, began a prayer circle for her after the NORML meeting.

"NORML members just assumed that because she was crying I was one of the typical campus preachers on Turlington," Benson said.

Manning informed Benson that he wouldn't file a complaint if Benson apologized to NORML members.

"He refused this offer and informed me that the only reason that he would ever return to one of our NORML meetings would be to create a similar situation," Manning wrote in the letter.

Benson said he is sorry that Manning was offended by the gospel.

"I wanted everyone in there to know that Jesus loves them, and that's much better than pot," Benson said.

Bible is written in green and is pro cannabis.
It is a mistake to use the Bible to support cannabis prohibition. Biblically, We are even told who will prohibit cannabis in 1 Timothy 4:1-5, subtitled Apostasy.

"But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, 3 men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; 5 for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer." http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?passage=1TIM%2B4&showfn=on&showxref=on&language=english&version=NASB&x=17&y=10

The Ecologician knew exactly what He created.

Cannabis is the Kahuna of the plant world. The Superplant.

Don't let the deluding influence convince You that cannabis is evil, for that is the work of Satan.

The deluding influence is spoken about in 2 Th. 2:1-17, subtitled Man of Lawlessness, spicifically verse 11&12.

11, "For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness." http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?passage=2THES%2B2&showfn=on&showxref=on&language=english&version=NASB&x=12&y=7

If anyone wants to do a search about Biblical cannabis, enter the words kaneh bosm, which is the Hebrew origins of the word cannabis, that was mistranslated 5 times since the King James Virsion.

Kaneh bosm adds renewed light to the Bible.

Christ God Our Father gave Us kaneh bosm / cannabis and Satan wants to exterminate it.

I wonder if Congress knows about DEAWatch?
They might find it very interesting to read the comments of these staunch 'public servants'.

And you ought to read the comments on DEAWatch
Just like the DEA to try to rationalize all kinds of crazy stuff:

11 Feb 2003, 09:58 PST, 1st Edition

"This is the only war we've got...":

I congratulate the action taken by our brothers to deal with a potentially fatal situation.

As for me, I do not understand why the bleeding hearts are whining over the girl's age. Everyone in our country knows that black and Mexican kids are twice the street experience age of white kids, that is why 99% of the Hispanics and Afros under 15 charged with crimes are tried as adults. One of them at 14 years old is the equivalent to one of ours at 30. Our brothers didn't shoot a 14 year old, they shot a 30 year old.

Comment...

And... This skillfully placed head shot will render the perp a permanent veggie. As she is wheeled around her hood sucking food through a pipe in her throat for the rest of her life she will send a clear message to her fellow hoodsters that the almighty DEA is not to be messed with. We need to deliver more calling cards like this. If we plant 'em they are quickly forgotten. But if we veggie them they remain as constant reminders to the awesome power of DEA.

Don't shoot to kill. Don't shoot to wound. Shoot to veggie.

Comment...

And... Our people didn't shoot that girl. In every sense her father shot her. He's the one who exposed his daughter to danger. Not us.

Yepper, your tax dollars at work...

Prime
Thank you for posting the link to the story. I hope that someone is keeping track of these terrible events. I think Mapinc. would post most of them and then putting them together would show how bad this really is.

Self-Righteous
"The speaker had said some stuff that wasn't true and doesn't line up with what the Bible says," Benson said.

"I just felt that I didn't want him to share things that weren't true and lead kids to believe that pot use is OK."

First of all, this wasn't a Bible meeting. Second of all, these weren't kids. If they are old enough to attend the University of Florida then chances are they're adults. They can go to war, vote, and make their own decisions regarding the cannabis plant and everything else. Perhaps these self-righteous zealots could study their Bibles more carefully. Bigots like these give religion a bad name.

God like people
So he goes in and says That it's not right. God never said to use what he gave us. And then to empower his closed mind he tells a girl that "God"(their perception) will heal her mother when she gives enough to him. Enough worship and praying and admiration. Apparently what doesn't come to his mind is that maybe GOD put it in front of her one day so she could see a way to ease her pain. And she is now releaved without hurting anyone(including herself) but breaking a federal offense worth a night in jail at least. Why should he think any different? I doubt anyone really tried to speak to this little insecure boy about the possability that god helps people even if they don't go to the Weekly socail event of church, however I doubt he asked her if they could pray for her mother. No one likes to be a charity case, they just like to be understood, too bad listening isn't in his set of rules.

I'm not saying all are bad, but if they can't understand easing suffering, or improving ones over all sense of well being, then they don't have an American Heart, let alone a Godly one. Hopefully one day his mind will open.
