Yet Another War |
Posted by CN Staff on May 06, 2002 at 15:31:59 PT Editorial Source: Rutland Herald When Attorney General John Ashcroft announced last week that the war on drugs in Colombia must now be seen as a war on terrorism, he was promoting a dangerously expansive vision of America’s mission abroad. The 40-year insurgency has been a disaster for the people of Colombia. Leftist groups control large sections of the country, and the Colombian government has been unable to bring the conflict to an end. Snipped Home Comment Email Register Recent Comments Help |

Interesting how the feds want to expand anti-terrorism in Columbia, but fail to mention they also want to gaurantee financing fore those same "terrorists" by keeping their funding sources open, namely illegal drug markets supported by the so-called war on drugs. As long as the US government is guilty of financing the same terrorists it seeks to stop, the game will be neverending. Just another way for Drug War Profiteers to make a few more bucks. Perhaps the idea is to start control of the children with their moral intensions, the elderly could next - being of a weakened state, then the big control squeeze on the young adults and the middle aged. Once the foot is in the door with the children, the moral control freaks could go anywhere with it.
We the people fight for freedom again and again, enough is enough.
