justice Gov. Jeb Bush said Monday that wherever he goes, parents approach him to say they know what it's like to have a family member fighting drug addiction.

Bush said his daughter, Noelle, is improving since entering a drug-treatment program earlier this month after her Jan. 29 arrest on a charge of prescription fraud. His comments came after attending a Drug Policy Advisory Council meeting to be briefed on the council's progress.

"I know by being involved in this as a dad how pervasive this is," he said.

"How, when you love somebody and they're going through tough times, how it just sucks the life out of a family."

Noelle Bush's battle with drug addiction has given him a new sensitivity to the problem, her father said, and it's made him empathize with the plight of families dealing with addiction.

He also touched on his personal experience with addiction while addressing the council.

"Alcohol and drug abuse among young and old is a problem that is just incredible," Bush told council members.

"Our family has faced this issue. A day does not go by that someone doesn't come up to me and say, 'I know what you're going through.' "

Noelle Bush, 24, was arrested at a Walgreens pharmacy a few blocks from the Governor's Mansion.

Police said she posed as a doctor to call in a phony prescription for Xanax, an anti-anxiety medication.

In one of few public comments he has made about his daughter's problem, Bush said after the meeting that it has given him a feeling of guilt, prompting him to ask, "Did I do something wrong?"

"I know the anguish," Bush said.

"I can see people in crowds and I can see the look. I can look at people's eyes and tell if they've gone through something similar."

But he added that his daughter's legal troubles have not changed his stand on drug policy.

"She knows that in spite of whatever the aliment is that inflicts her, she's got to confront it," he said.

People need to mind their own bizness
Gov. Jeb Bush said Monday that wherever he goes, parents approach him to say they know what it's like to have a family member fighting drug addiction. Ya we all know how "family" talks. People in my family use to talk how i was a big drug addict and the only thing i ever really did was pot ( i sampled a few things while in the military).I could not believe what i found out from one of my cousins... it seems some of my family was spreading rumours i was into all kinds of drugs hell i got my shit together better than most of them.

Umm, Jeb?
Gov. Jeb Bush said Monday that wherever he goes, parents approach him to say they know what it's like to have a family member fighting drug addiction.

Bush said his daughter, Noelle, is improving since entering a drug-treatment program

"I know by being involved in this as a dad how pervasive this is," he said. "How, when you love somebody and they're going through tough times, how it just sucks the life out of a family."

I THOUGHT WE WEREN'T TALKING ABOUT THIS, JEB! I THOUGHT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PRIVATE AND NONE OF THE PUBLIC'S BUSINESS, JEB!

Another Bush who claims privacy involving substance abuse, then goes out to parade drug abuses of their own as a campaign issue.

What REALLY went on in this family???
Fathers with a long history of out of control binge drinking. Silent political-wife mothers who keep everything very close to the vest.

Daughters who now show a desperate need to be comfortably numbed wherever they go.

That's an icky picture, I don't like where this is going... I hope it doesn't go there.

Bush develops psychic powers!
"I can see people in crowds and I can see the look. I can look at people's eyes and tell if they've gone through something similar."

So what was really in that pretzel, dude?

Now if you could just read the minds of the people in the prisons...

What about the Families you DON'T speak of?
"Our family has faced this issue. A day does not go by that someone doesn't come up to me and say, 'I know what you're going through.' "

The ones whoes loved ones are rotting in jail, sodomized by both the legal system, and the murdering rapists they are FORCED to "live" with?

The ones whoes property the DEA, backed by Korporate Amerika, Christian Fundamentalists, and the Nazi-inspired Federal Government, is UNCONSTITUTIONALLY stolen by jack-booted, trigger happy, innocents killing, military-mutant DEAth squads?

And how about ALL American families whose CONSTITUTIONAL Rights have been shredded, and who are boiling mad about a tyrannical government?

Did you listen to the families whose loved ones are unmercifully suffering and dieing younger than they have to? Because your CONCERNED FAMILIES are so ignorant and brainwashed by the EVIL that suppresses the natural, life giving and theraputic Cannabis?

What was your response to these Families?

What gets me, is how the roofs of these so-called Christians and religious, self-righteous bastard's churches are still intact.

Jah's gonna get ya, Jeb, George, Al, Bill, ...etc.

Peace. Realize, then Legalize.

Confront this
But he added that his daughter's legal troubles have not changed his stand on drug policy.

"She knows that in spite of whatever the aliment is that inflicts her, she's got to confront it," he said.

So I guess she gets to confront it in a cage, like all the rest.

Right Dad?
