medical School officials are considering whether to snuff out a 13-year-old girls' science project that examines medical uses for marijuana.

The junior high schooler was allowed to present her report to classmates Thursday, but afterward school officials confiscated her props -- including a marijuana-laced muffin and a spray bottle of pot-steeped rubbing alcohol.

The girl's father, Joe Morris, said Mission Hill Junior High officials gave initial clearance for the project and should have said something earlier if they objected.

"Don't children have constitutional rights?" Morris said. "In a way, it's censorship and that's not acceptable."

But he said he might have erred in letting his daughter take the props to school.

"I should have used better judgment," he said, noting he was grateful the school returned the props to him, rather than calling law enforcement.

Morris said his daughter became interested in the subject because her aunt is a caregiver for a woman who uses marijuana as a medicine. The girl didn't advocate marijuana use, he said, but instead researched the project with library books and patient surveys and analyzed and graphed her findings.

School officials haven't yet decided if the girl can display her "Mary Jane for Pain" project next week when judges from U.C. Santa Cruz and the NASA/Ames Research Lab award prizes.

"I'm going to have to take a look at the science to see if it fits the criteria," Principal Cathy Stefanki-Iglesias said. "I'm not so convinced it does at the moment."

Valerie Corral, executive director of a group that provides medical marijuana, told the Santa Cruz Sentinel the project was a good one but it was inappropriate to let the girl take the prescriptive pot to school.

Thanks Nuevo Mexican
When I talked to him his spirit was strong. He had a good outlook and wasn't pessimistic. He seems like a survivor. Hope you're right and you probably are.

That's what I thought!
from previous discussions about music and such. Thank you! It looks like he'll be fine, he's been through worse, and has massive healing powers at his disposal!

I think he said 47. I'm pretty sure about that. I will call him in a week or two and see how he is if he doesn't get back to me by email. I don't like bothering anyone when they are sick. I know sometimes we need to regroup and need space or at least I do and I try to act accordingly.

You're welcome!

Thank you FOM!
If you could get the year, I can get more specific, but 2/7 itself tells me this, dddd will recover and will benefit financially from his suffering. I'm sure he could use the financial blessings right now, and they stem from and through his friendships and acquaintences. Glad to see the stars offering him their support, and great support at that as on his birthday, Venus, the planet of love and money, music and art, was conjunct(in unity) Uranus (friendships, humanitarianism, surprises, the unexpected) on his birthday! So dddd looks like he'll be okay based on his solar return (chart for his birthday this year). But the year of his birth will reveal many more details. Thanks for your help! Peace and good health to all in the C-News community.

Let me think. I called him on his birthday and I need to go back and find the day I called him. I'm not good at remembering things like that. I haven't heard from him yet but asked him to drop in here and say hi if he gets on line at all.

For dddd...
Fom: ask dddd to post his date of birth, time and place and I'll do a reading for him for his health. Or You can give him my e-mail address if he wants, I can help. All the answers to any question can be found in the stars! Especially health questions! I'd love to help!

Hi Toker00
I saw your comment about dddd and I went and sent him a short email. If he writes back I'll tell everyone what he says. I'm worried about him too.

What a trip, Jose.
And we all know more stories of the hypocrits. Like the ones I know personally, who toke up. I'm not friends with them, I just happen to know them. It sucks, man. It's just down right Anti-Truth. There's enough stories involving pols and drugs, to embarrass us all. Yet they go on living their lies, and pretend it's not happening. Meanwhile, we get demonized, incarcerated, raped, (penal style), have OUR lives destroyed, and our freedoms deminished. What a f***ing crock.

Peace. Realize, then Legalize.

Pray for dddd.

PROVO — What began as a noise disturbance complaint at a Utah County motel earlier this month may land three U.S. Secret Service agents in criminal court on allegations of misconduct involving a party with underage girls and alcohol.

Provo police and the Secret Service confirmed Thursday night that three out-of-state agents have been placed on administrative leave pending a criminal investigation.

According to Mike Mower, assistant to the Provo mayor, police received a disturbance complaint during the early hours of Feb. 1 at the Western Inn motel, 40 W. 300 South, Provo.

Police arrived and handled the disturbance. But it wasn't until five days later that police realized with whom they were dealing.

"Subsequent information received approximately five days later indicated the possible misconduct by three Secret Service employees," Mower said.

Authorities are not commenting officially on what may have happened at the motel, but the Secret Service says it is serious enough to place all three Secret Service agents on administrative leave.

But a source close to the investigation told the Deseret News that the agents may have been partying with underage girls in the motel room and supplying them with alcohol.

"On Feb. 1, three agents were sent back to their respective states for alleged misconduct," Secret Service public affairs agent Jim Mackin said.

He said all of the three officers were supposed to serve with Olympic security but were immediately pulled from duty. At the time of the party, Mackin said, the agents were considered off-duty.

As recently as this week, Mackin said, the agents have been placed on administrative leave pending Provo city's investigation.

"Currently, two Provo police detectives are in the process of interviewing the Secret Service employees who were allegedly involved. Detectives are returning from travels to Florida, Mississippi and Alabama, where they conducted interviews," Mower said.

Although detectives were expected back in Utah Thursday night, Mower said it may be another week until their investigation is complete.

The Utah County Attorney's Office has been alerted and will screen the case for possible criminal charges against the agents, Mower said.

Mackin said his office is taking the matter very seriously. "We have a zero-tolerance policy, but we are waiting for the facts to be determined," he said.

Daddy knows whats best
....if his daughter is censored, he's got a case.

But he kinda blew it by giving actual control of the medicine to his daughter.

His heart was in the right place, but he had one too many brownies himself.
