Huffing is a Growing Problem Among Teens!

Fifteen-year-old Alicia Walls knows classmates who get a quick high at school by breathing inhalants such as hair spray and spray paint. She has pleaded with some to quit "huffing."

So a recent huffing-related car accident that killed five high-school girls in Pennsylvania came as no surprise.
"If we hear somebody's sniffing something, we're not shocked," says Walls, a sophomore at Glasgow High School in Newark, Del., who says she has never used inhalants herself. "It's an everyday occurrence."

We all know that inhalants can be deadly so
why are children resorting to huffing to get high?

22 Year Old Needs To Grow Up
Being a straight "A" student doesn't prove your smart. I don't see how a 22 year old could be foolish enough to huff anything. It kills massive amounts of brain cells. Think about what your doing, your replacing oxygen with gasoline, lighter fluid, etc.. Your becoming a vegetable one huff at a time. This stuff is unpredictable. You could huff for 9 hours one night with no problems and drop dead the first 15 minutes into it the next night. I was a teenager when I huffed gas and I have to admit it was an incredible experience. It was fun right up until my friend dropped dead. Sure it never killed me...but I'm sure it didn't help my brain or my liver too much. Your 22 man, you could at least do LSD or Mushrooms...no one ever dropped dead from them, at least not without a very special set of circumstances.

Already Rendered Dumber
Blacque, I hope that you are not serious and this is your poor idea of a joke. Inhalants are potentially dangerous ot your mental function, and you will not remain an A student if you persist in this. Freon was banned some years ago, so don't bother to look for it in some rusted out old fridge.

Does anyone like to Huff?
I am 22 years old and I love to Huff. I can't get enough of it. Gas, Lighter fluid, air freshner, anything. But I need some information. How do you take freon out of an air conditioning unit? FYI I am a straight "A" student I work and I live in my own place. As for how many brain cells I have killed I do not know But my last check-up at the doctor was the picture of health.

Freon
Ok this is to the guy calling himself "addict". The truth of the matter is "you" are the one who became addicted to freon. Your telling people that they will become addicted to it as soon as they do it. Thats not exactly true. Freon is not addictive in the way heroin is addictive. All your doing in cutting of oxygen to the brain with causes you to have a waking dream. This half awake half dream state is what you are calling your "trip". You are not chemically addicted to freon. You addiction is due to your lack of self control. You need to get it through your head that what your doing can kill and kill quickly. Freon is even more dangerous than gasoline with respects to possible death. I had a friend drop dead while we were huffing and let me tell you it's a wake up call you don't want to get.

Huffing Gasoline
Listen, man, I like to set a big fat gas can on the freezer in my garage, screw off the lid, place my nose above the hole, sniff long and deep about three times, and exhale. The other day, four clowns and the gas can told me to get on this platform and it shook my skeletal system out of my body when I did. Also, a demon sticking his body out of the door, played his guitar. A gel music bar floated by me. I stared in horror as tiny shards of glass floated by and coated my tongue. I love the scary shit. It's great. And just today, a freakin' shadow started creepin' around behind me. It was 10 x my size, it had freakin' a gun and all that stuff. Looked like the black spy from Spy vs. Spy. I almost creamed my shorts. I love it. But don't nobody be sniffin' sh$% just because I say it rules. In fact, I advise you not to. Thank you.

Why do kids huff?
Well I am a teen and i can explain most of this from personal experiance. While a young teen in middle school drugs are tough to get. Inhalants are free and easy to get. I tryed sniffing some stuff but was pretty stupid. Once a teen gets into high school inhalants are childs play. Ecstacy, LSD, and powerful pot becomes a lot easier to get. Now more teens have jobs and money to blow. Therefor they move on to bigger and better drugs, not that cheap nasty huffing. Once a teen gets into high school SEARCH HIS STUFF, HE HAS DRUGS!!!! It may sound funny but your great teen is a crackhead and you have to bust him. Face the facts and do something before he begins stealing your money for drugs.

And yes i was busted by my parents.

PAINT HUFFING
NO PLEASE DONT!!!! I AM A 20YEAR OLD MOTHER OF 2.
THEIR FATHER IS ADDICITED TO PAINT HUFFING.
I CAN TELL YOU FROM FRIST HAND EXSERPANCE WHAT THIS WILL
DO TO YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. MY HUSBAND CAN NOT KEEP A JOB
AND CAN NOT PROVIDE FOR HIS FAMILY. HE HAS ON MORE THAN ONE
OCCATION HIT ME AND ONE TIME HE ALMOST KILLED ME BY CHOKEING
ME TO DEATH IN FRONT OF OUR 5 MONTH OLD DAUGTHER. ONCE HE WAS SO MESSED UP HE FORGOT TO LET DOWN THE WINDOW OF HIS CAR
AND ALL OF THE FUMES BUILT UP IN THE CAR WITH HIM. IF A
NEIGHBOR HAD NOT SAW HIM HE WOULD BE DIED TODAY.
THE OFFICER ON THE SCENE SAID THAT IF HE HAD STAYED IN THE CAR ONE MORE HOUR HE WOULD HAVE DIED. SO YOU ASK IF YOU SHOULD TRY IT. I ASK YOU IS IT WORTH ALL THE PAIN YOU CAN AND WILL CAUSE YOURSELF AND THE ONES THAT LOVE YOU?????

gas huffer
I huffed gas from the age of 16 to the age of 18. It was the most incredible release of imagination and halucination I had ever had. I onced huffed for nine hours straight. I should be dead. My friend died right in front of me. We were huffing gas behind my house on the edge of our pond. I was watching some pirates throw a bus at my neightbors house while some turkey's in wearing a quakers outfit and racing across my pond in row boats. Then I looked down and saw him lying on the ground. I tried to pick him up and put him in his seat. He fell to the floor again. I dragged him toward the house. He was too heavy to carry. I looked down and saw him drooling and gurgling. The sound of death. He was clearly dying. I lit a smoke and looked at him calmly. "I hope you are clean", I said. I walked to the house and called 911. "My friend is dead. He is unconscious and not breathing.", I spoke softly. I still think about Ricky's death years later. It wasn't me fault but I still feel like I could have done something.

The reason that inhalents are so popular is because it is a more extreme buzz than marijuana, it is free, so you can do it as much as you want, and it works instantly

i think huffing is so stupid for people to be doing but you know kids are acting out of frustration or trying to get attention from their parents. there is some parents that just don't care what their kids do or what their kids say.

I am writing this because I am looking up huffing for a mom who lost her son last night. He was a really nice boy, not the type to try drugs or hang out with that sort of crowd. They wondered if he got the idea from a website. This young boy died in his grandmothers bathroom experimenting with normal household cleaners that I'm sure he thought wern't dangerous. DON"T DO IT. IT KILLED MY FRIEND, IT CAN KILL YOU! If you have any info on where i can find a "Pro" huffing website please let me know at: wigglytuff63@hotmail.com

Huffing can kill you
I've never tried or been peer preasured into huffing before. All I know is that the chemicals in which contain highly toxic substances can kill you, even on the first try. All you teens or adults reading this message. Think before you take action. Ask yourself what the effects will be on your family when they hear your dead because you were huffing. Think for yourself, don't huff, It's bad stuff.

Am a concerned parent with teenage son. Found something in bathroom garbage, had plastic coating, it's bright orange, and looks almost like an orange felt tip marker on the inside. There was also a lot of tissue paper with orange all over it. Is this a concern? I have no idea.

"huffing"
I feel that most teenagers now a days around the age of 13-16 use inhalliants more often than older teenagers. It's much easier for them to get a hold of, most of these inhalliants are over the counter. I don't know anybody personally, but if I did, I would defianity make sure they were NOT huffing.
